The Warren property was purchased in February 2011 and entrusted to Mother Marina in November 2013 for a new Coptic Orthodox community.

A papal visit and synodal recognition

Pope Tawadros II visited on September 26–27, 2018; the Holy Synod formally recognized the convent the following June.
